A rainy day at the Fort McHenry.
Baltimore is a beautiful city in Maryland and has the historic star-shaped Fort McHenry which is known for the War of 1812 and as the birthplace of the American National Anthem – ‘Star-Spangled Banner’.
Our trip began with this important monument of American history. The exhibits displayed are impressive and the 10-minute orientation film gives detailed information about the fort. We walked around the massive fort, the quarters for the troops and the canons which are set along the fort walls – it looks like a postcard from the old days.

Great photos. Love the shot of the canon defences looking out across the water.
