A loud burst of colors takes over the entire field of view sweeping one into the realm of imagination. That’s a Graffiti Alley moment.

It’s surreal, to see the artistic sketches of underwater life covering a wall of the entire three-floor building, scary monsters popping from behind the cars, a peek into the future through a piece of looking glass, enormous blooming flowers mushrooming from beneath the ground, larger than life fairy tale creatures taking over the street, crazy cartoon characters jumping off from the windows, words erupting through the crevices in the surface and faces staring into your eyes.

Graffiti Alley is a stretch of artwork on the walls between Portland Street and Spadina Avenue in Toronto, Canada. The entire street and small alleyways leading to it – abound in this cool street art and undoubtedly, it is one of the must-see places when in city.

We had a great time last weekend, appreciating the craftsmanship of the artists who must have spent hours, days or even months painting such elaborate murals. And photographing this part of Toronto was an experience in itself.
