With the tickets for the movie ‘Jurassic World’ in our hands along with enough time – a hearty lunch was the right fit.

Picked Montana’s for their fun Patio and an interesting menu. And it wasn’t just good, it turned out to be pretty awesome. We enjoyed a great summer lunch.

Sunny day calls for a drink and I beagn with their jam jar lemonade special – the spiced ‘Sounthern Honey’.

Southern Honey

Totally fell in love with this fruity-lemony Honey Jack concoction. The music, the ambiance, the smooth flavor of Honey Jack – and we had a happy beginning.

Drink

Double-dusted Chicken appetizer

Ordered a chicken appetizer served with crisp fried onions, spicy & sweet dips and garnished with chopped green onions. It was perfectly soft & spicy with just the right flavor of crunchy onions to go along and paired really well with the drink.

Jambalaya

We opted for the Louisiana Favorite – the chicken & Shrimp Jambalaya, the well-seasoned medley of Rice, vegetables & meats. The fragrance of this dish is enough to make anyone hungry and it also reminded us of our trips to New Orleans. The Jambalaya was served with Cheesy garlic bread and we were ready to take a bite of the ooey-gooey deliciousness which arrived on the table at the right time.

Banana Cream Pie

One of the Backyard Sweets of the day – we picked the Banana cream pie from among three options we had which included Strawberry Rhubarb and Apple Cobbler. It was difficult to pick one, but we were happy to enjoy the mild flavors of Banana cream and it was a fantastic finish to the meal.

dessert

The air-whipped dessert was flawless, the service was great and we happily cleared the bill. What a wonderful time we had at Montana’s. Its the perfect place to enjoy a summer patio afternoon with delicious food.

Would go for it again in a heartbeat.
